Queens Three Farm specializes in raising Aberdeen Angus cattle to produce premium grass-fed and grain-finished beef. We are dedicated to sustainable farming practices and delivering high-quality, locally sourced beef to our customers.
Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and hands-on Assistant Agricultural Manager to support the daily operations of our farm. This role will work closely with the COO and ownership to oversee livestock care, pasture management, and direct-to-consumer sales. The ideal candidate has a passion for agriculture, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to sustainability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the day-to-day care and management of Aberdeen Angus cattle, including feeding, health monitoring, and maintaining livestock records.
- Support pasture management, including grazing rotation, forage maintenance, and soil health initiatives.
- Oversee general farm maintenance, including fencing, barn upkeep, and equipment operation/repair.
- Coordinate harvesting schedules and transportation of livestock for processing.
- Support sales operations by managing product inventory, packaging, and assisting with customer orders.
- Work with management team to implement sustainable farming practices and improve overall productivity.
- Supervise seasonal farm staff or volunteers as needed.
- Oversee a detailed maintenance plan on all farm equipment and buildings
- Day-to-day equine and boarding operations.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in livestock care or farm management, preferably with beef cattle.
- Basic knowledge of grazing systems, animal husbandry, and farm equipment operation.
- Ability to perform physical labor in all weather conditions.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- A background in agriculture, animal science, or a related field is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with direct-to-consumer sales or farm-to-table operations is a plus.
- Valid driver's license required; CDL is a plus.
