Welder, Belledune, New Brunswick
Interfor is seeking energetic and enthusiastic team players to join our team as a Welder in Bathurst, New Brunswick.
What You’ll Do
Operate manual and semi-automatic flame cutting equipment
Operate Manual and Semi-automatic welding equipment and other metalworking tools and machinery
Operate various hand tools, grinders, drills, etc.
Maintain and perform minor repairs on welding and cutting equipment
Operate oxygen arc cutting equipment, (Plasma, gouging equipment)
Silver brazing
Operate hydraulic press - 100 ton
Ensure quality and other necessary documentation is completed
Read and interpret drawings, work orders and other manufacturing specifications to accurately layout, weld and fabricate parts
Fixture maintenance
Perform welding duties in accordance with work orders and inspections
At times, perform work duties in the field as required
What You Offer
Journeyman Red Seal Welder and 5+ years’ experience
CWB Certified would be considered an asset (current or previously)
Commitment to health and safety, and environmental responsibility
Work independently or in a team environment
Strong time management skills, organizational skills and flexibility
Demonstrated ability to learn and adapt
Read and interpret welding/fabrication blueprints
Understand drawing specifications
Interpret manuals and processes
Examine welds and ensure that they meet standards and/or specifications
Possess a strong work ethic and a commitment to fine detail
Technical and mechanical aptitude
Computer skills would be considered an asset
