Microsoft Corporation Senior Program Manager - Garage in Belgrade, Serbia

We are hiring a Senior Program Manager for our Garage in Belgrade, Serbia. The Microsoft Garage (https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/garage/) is a program that brings Microsoft's cultural priorities to life for employees, interns, and customers. It offers programs that include large scale events like the Microsoft Global Hackathon that attracts over 70,000 employees and interns globally to small scale workshops and talks that focus on client challenges, ideation, and new technology adoption. The Senior Program Manager will be part of this innovative, collaborative and energetic team that spans 14 locations around the world. You will work on curating, experimenting, planning and delivering engaging online and in-person experiences tuned to the needs of our employees, customers and ecosystem partners. This opportunity will offer you the stage to share your innovative ideas, build deep partnerships internally and externally and become the local knowledge expert for Garage. Responsibilities

  • Run the day-to-day, week-to-week operation of the Microsoft Garage including developing, curating, and delivering engagement and experiences to our employees, customers, and ecosystem partners.

  • Lead the planning and execution of our Microsoft Global Hackathon and our other hackathons throughout the year.

  • Develop, curate, and deliver engagements and experiences tailored to the needs and interests of our employees and leadership.

  • Collaborate with worldwide Garage colleagues to produce and curate content and experiences to offer at your local site as well as to be shared across multiple global Garage sites.

  • Forge partnerships and relationships with key ecosystem players such as local tech and civic leaders and the innovation community.

  • Develop and deliver digital programming through scheduling and sourcing talks with internal and external speakers/guests and creating and documenting workshop or employee experiences.

  • Support development and delivery of engagements or events for a variety of audiences that could include employees, teams, or external partners.

Qualifications

REQURIED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's Degree and proven experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development

  • Proven experience managing multiple cross-functional and/or cross-team projects, demonstrating a high level of willingness to build on the work of others and to enable others to build on their work

  • In-depth experience as a tech community builder, along with excellent collaboration skills and strong technical acumen

  • Proven track record building, producing, and delivering impactful events, employee engagements, and/or experiments.

  • In-depth experience developing and building key relationships and partnerships across internal technical teams and external entities and stakeholders

  • Experience with public speaking to large audiences as well as leading small workshops

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proven experience working with and building community in a technical context.

  • Software development, and/or programming or hardware experience and working as a developer evangelist would benefit this role.

  • Experience producing and delivering hackathons would be beneficial

  • Experience creating and/or delivering employee programming.

  • Deep experience in the innovation space with coaching experience helping small teams searching for product market fit.

  • Ability to work through self-directed, ambiguous situations.
