Vontier HSE Manager in Belgrade, Serbia

Purpose of the position

The purpose of a Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) Manager is to ensure that an organization operates in a manner that is safe for employees, compliant with health and safety regulations, customer requirements and environmentally responsible. HSE Manager in GVR EU is driving continuous improvement, helps line management to manage health, safety and environmental performance and facilitates HSE Management systems across the businesses in the country. In addition, HSE Manager coaches, mentors and develops GVR employees including management and engineers to make safety become a natural event ensuring all our people go home safely.

Key Responsibilities

· To comply with the Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) policy-, legal- and customer requirements.

· To comply with the Vontier Code of Conduct.

· Coach and involve operational teams to improve HSE standards and accountability.

· Supervise high-risk jobs at the worksites

· Continuously review and improve safety management systems, processes, tools, and equipment.

· Implement HSE standards across country operations, ensuring consistency with Europe.

· Plan, produce, and manage HSE training, including third-party and self-delivered sessions.

· Lead the risk assessment, awareness and reduction process to drive sustainable risk reductions.

Measures of Performance

· Drive leading and lagging HSE KPI indicators (HSE Team and Operational) and ensure data accuracy.

· Drive the quality reviews of leading indicators, such as Safety Discussion and HSE Reporting and related actions

· Setting of country specific HSE targets in cooperation with Operational Leader and provide adequate data for line management to drive continuous improvement

· Completion of HSE Team’s agreed development projects

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

Engeener of technical science or Occupational Health and Safety education and diploma

Certificate of passing a professional Fire Protection Exam

Certificate of passing a professional exam about Safety and protection on work

Experience working in oil and gas industry could be an advantage

Strong experience of managing safety independently

Strong knowledge of HSE regulations, standards and safe working practices

Excellent communication and training skills

Ability to lead and influence a culture of safety and environmental responsibility.

Proficiency in using HSE management software and tools.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Ability and willingness to travel up to 50% of the time (but typically 25-30%)

English language skills (written and verbal) - essential for ability to work in a multi-cultural environment
