About the Role

Are you passionate about turning raw data into meaningful insights? We are seeking a skilled Data Analyst (DA) to join our team and help drive data-driven decision-making throughout our organization.

As a Data Analyst, you will be responsible for collecting, analyzing, documenting, and interpreting enterprise data for the global Magna 360 initiative. The DA collaborates with cross-functional teams to document and develop data-driven strategies. This role requires a strong analytical skillset to be able to work on the business requirements together with our cross functional business, ensuring consistency with the Magna Global IT strategy, commitments, and goals.

The Data Analyst has a good understanding of various enterprise data and the ability to communicate across multiple platforms and business groups. We are looking for a team-oriented person who is also able to work on initiatives independently to achieve results. We require a willingness to learn and grow in a fast-paced global environment.

Your Responsibilities

  • Support the global Magna 360 initiative. Develop statement of requirements together with cross functional teams to understand the business need and data.

  • Articulation of these requirements related to IT Systems, data and data management (integration), data warehousing, reporting, analytics and related.

  • Analyze, evaluate and visualize processes and data.

  • Work and collaborate with business departments as well as Magna IT departments like enterprise architecture, IT Infrastructure or IT Solutions, Software architecture and development.

  • Supports the project manager in the design and execution phase of projects in the communication with internal and external stakeholders. Supports quality assurance in projects.

  • Bring in ideas to optimize processes for data solutions and services.

Who we are looking for

Holder of degree in Computer Science, Math or equivalent with:

  • Experience in data visualization and storytelling to communicate insights effectively.

  • Experience in data cleaning, data validation, and data quality assurance. Hands-on experience with data query, data processing systems, and understanding of database architecture.

  • Experience in data/business analysis as part of IT projects is an asset but not a precondition.

  • Experience with technologies like MS SQL based web applications, MS Azure, MS Power BI, MDM software, is an asset.

Your preferred qualifications

  • Excellent MS Office knowledge.

  • Proficiency in data analysis tools such as SQL and Excel.

  • Power BI knowledge

  • MDM governance experience

  • Basic Understanding of data integration within application frameworks.
