Title: Commodity ManagerLocation: Belgrade, SRBPOSITION SUMMARY & KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:

  • Responsible for contract creation, negotiation of terms & conditions, and ongoing contract maintenance on a global basis for logistics (transportation & warehousing) suppliers. Liaison with both NCR legal and local (Global) NCR operations teams

  • Support FAP (freight, audit, and pay) for regional operational teams with any supplier improvement and corrective action initiatives attributed to supplier performance issues.

  • Manage commodity stream ownership of NSR (new supplier requests) involving due diligence vetting of new supplier solutions and alignment with overall global supply chain strategy.

  • Manage strategic relationship of global freight forwarders, including RFP, pricing (air and ocean), tariff, savings, and routing guide development/maintenance.

  • Manage strategic relationship of North America FTL/LTL trucking suppliers, including RFP, pricing, tariff, savings, and routing guide development/maintenance.

  • Manage strategic relationship of global transportation for small package carriers.

  • Manage strategic relationship of global/regional 3PL and GRE providers including RFP & pricing

  • Liaise escalations between operations team and logistics suppliers for performance, capacity, and payment issues.

  • Responsible for TMS rate, routing guide, and business rule creation/maintenance.

  • Develop analytics and reporting for freight consumption/spend for executive-level dissemination.

  • Support regional and local procurement teams as needed with ad-hoc requirements related to logistics.

  • Implement a rigorous and disciplined process for managing the supply base including leading periodic business reviews; monitoring and managing supplier performance (quality, cost, delivery, technology, service, and leadership); performing root cause analysis and proposing resolution; developing and monitoring supplier improvement plans; and drive significant change in the sourcing processes via e-commerce tools, supplier scorecards, supplier consolidation, etc.

  • Partner with key logistics teammates to develop and implement the strategy and execution of logistics sourcing activities.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related discipline.

  • 3 - 5 years of related experience

  • Strong forecasting, negotiations, and contract management skills, including a working understanding of contractual terms and conditions and risk mitigation.

  • Understanding of the legalities of ethical purchasing behaviors and the ability to work with Legal on assuring those aspects.

  • Ability to indirectly influence and lead cross-organizational and/or cross-functional teams, including a demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally at all organizational levels and/or with outside professionals.

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving/troubleshooting, communications, presentation, and problem-solving/trouble-shooting skills.

  • Effective time/resource management and project management skills/capabilities.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, Project, and PowerPoint.

  • Working knowledge of and experience with ERP systems

  • Financial acumen a plus

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Master’s Degree.

  • Competency in overall supply chain and inventory strategies & practices.

  • APICS or ISM Certification (e.g., CPIM, CIRM, CSCM, CPM).
