Holycode Business Intelligence Engineer - Planted Team in Belgrade, Serbia
We at Holycode are currently looking for a Business Intelligence Engineer for our Planted team, founded in July 2019 as a spin-off from ETH Zurich, to strengthen their experienced and motivated team.
Planted (https://de.eatplanted.com/en?lang=en&logged_in_customer_id=) aims to make the world better with a revolutionary plan: Meat from plants. Their goal is to radically change the way people consume and perceive meat and to trigger a switch from eating animal to plant-based proteins. They are making a change. Not only because they can, but because they have to. Planted is more than a delicious product – it’s also an attitude.
Planted is currently working to digitize and optimize their food production in various areas with the latest technologies and concepts such as CI/CD, containers, microservices, event streaming, data warehousing, and more. As software integration and automation become increasingly important in their growing business, they are looking for implementation and development support in their team.
Responsibilities:
Build ETL pipelines using AWS Glue and Azure Fabric Data Factory
Work with the business to design data models
Enable decentralized data analytics by enabling business teams to ingest their own data (Data Mesh)
Participate in architecture discussions to further develop Planted’s data platform
Ensure data quality through automated checks
Requirements and skills:
At least 2 years of experience as a BI Engineer
Proficiency in Python and SQL. Experience writing data pipelines and designing database schemas.
Experience working with cloud services, preferably AWS/Azure
Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on business development & solutions
Willingness to learn and master new technologies and techniques
Excellent written and verbal communication skills for cross-team coordination in English
Experience with Power BI is a plus
Experience using CI/CD and unit testing is a plus
BSc/BA in computer science, engineering, or other relevant field; a graduate degree is a plus
