In view of heightened expectations from regulators and to ensure a strong and consistent global control environment, the Markets business continues to enhance the Risk and Control function.

The role will be part of the Markets Operational risk Analytics team , reporting to the senior manager. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional familiar with the Markets business and products to become part of a global team of Operational risk experts.

What you’ll do

  • Control design and operating effectiveness testing as part of Risk and Control Self-Assessment (RCSA)

  • Help contribute to the timeliness, accuracy and completeness of the Risk and Control Self-Assessment through controls prior to the execution of a process (QC)

  • Preparation and analysis of management material for key committees

  • Global liaison and facilitation of certain key processes and controls for the wider Markets asset classes

  • Assist in performing a detailed analysis on the identification of issue root cause, partnering with control and process owners to recommendations holistic corrective actions and improvements, provide check and challenge to ensure appropriate escalation in according with Issue Management and Escalation Policies.

What we’ll need from you

  • Close familiarity with the Markets business and products

  • Relevant experience in risk, compliance, audit or regulatory functions.

  • Strong project management skills - excellent organizational skills, ability to multitask and adapt to change.

  • Self-motivation, superior attention to detail and problem-solving ability.

  • Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with an emphasis on MS Excel

  • Ability to demonstrate credible challenge to front office stakeholders
