Stantec Design Lead - Water Sector in Belfast, United Kingdom

We are excited to have been appointed been appointed by Northern Ireland Water to work on the first project announced as part of its Major Projects Partnership Framework—the improvement of Belfast Wastewater Treatment Works (WwTW), operating as the civil engineering design consultant as part of the integrated ‘One Team’ on the project.

This success brings significant growth opportunities both for Stantec as a business and you as an individual and as such, we are looking to recruit a Design Lead / Manager to join us. We are looking for talentedCivil, Mechanical, Electrical or Process Engineers who want to lead project teams, deliver exciting work and make a big impact.

Our strategy within the Water division for 2024 and beyond is creating a number of new exciting opportunities in the business. We partner with the top water clients across the UK & Ireland,work on some of the largest water projects in the industryand we promise to design with community in mindby reducing environmental impacts and improving social impacts.

Currently, we are looking for Design Leads / Managers with experience a background in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical or Process Engineering to join our team in Northern Ireland. You will play a fundamental rolewithin projects to identify innovative and sustainable solutions, plan technical delivery and lead the multidisciplinary team from concept stage through to final implementation.You will work alongside the Project Manager to deliver best value and client service excellence.

About You

To be considered for this role, you will be a degree qualified (or equivalent)engineerand will ideally be chartered, or a member of a relevant engineering institution e.g. ICE. Support can be given to achieve this if required.

You will have previous design experience in the water sector, ideally with a consultancy. You will have experience with waste water projects. You will have a passion for solving engineering problems, the ability to lead and inspire and the confidence to drive through challenging solutions.
