Citigroup Business Risk and Control Sr Analyst - C12 - BELFAST in Belfast, United Kingdom

The Central Control Organization (CCO) was established to drive enterprise-wide solutions to address deficiencies in Managers Control Assessments (MCA). This includes governance of MCA program health, reporting and execution of procedural requirements. The CCO’s goals are aligned to Operational and

Compliance risk reduction by creating a robust control environment, while driving efficiency and consistency throughout the enterprise.

As a member of the MCA Governance & Insights team, this role is responsible for maintaining and developing the MCA profiles that standardize risk and control assessments for all Citi enterprise-wide activities. The development and execution of these profiles requires collaboration between many stakeholder groups – including process owners, risk stripe owners and MCA architects – so success is contingent on fostering trust and driving collaboration. These activities are undergoing significant change, with this role playing a critical role in supporting the transition toward our new ways of working.

Responsibilities:

Manage and support improvement of the MCA profiles that ensure a consistent assessment approach for enterprise-wide risks.

  • Manage the profiles inventory, which will grow from 70 to 600+ profiles as we pivot to the Target State CEAM process-based model.

  • Run workshops with profile owners and MCA Architects to develop and agree detailed profile content that address process risk whilst maintaining broad applicability to all in-scope businesses and functions.

  • Apply MCA expertise in steering profile content that drives greater opportunity for control standardization, centralization and automation.

  • Apply new GPMP profile development procedures as they go live, and educate other stakeholders in their application.

  • Report profile adoption metrics and support remediation activities where necessary.

  • Support team leader as necessary in managing the transition from BAU to Target State profile models (EMP to GPMP profiles).

Undertake Secretary role for monthly MCA Operating Group

  • Maintain invitee lists and track attendance.

  • Produce monthly agenda in consultation with MCA BAU leader.

  • Gather presenter content and support BAU leader in finalizing material.

  • Manage Operating Group meeting, collate actions and track their completion.

Qualifications:

  • 5-8 years of experience.

  • MS Excel, MS Access, SAS, SQL, Visual Basic a plus. 5+ years’ experience in financial services

  • Proficient with the Manager’s Control Assessment module.

  • Previous experience with MCA profiles.

  • Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills.

  • Interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively and influence people at all levels of the organization and across different geographic locations.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to comprehend the big pictures with high attention to critical details.

  • Excellent project management skills.

  • Has the ability to operate with limited direct supervision.

Education:

Bachelor's/University degree or equivalent experience.
