Citigroup Audit Manager – Institutional Credit Management in Belfast, United Kingdom

Role Overview:

Transaction Management (Audit Manager) will be responsible for supporting multiple aspects of the lending lifecycle including but not limited to loan closing and servicing coordination, facilitating complex client onboarding, data management, and quality control. The team will be accountable and responsible for operational oversight of the closing and servicing of all loan transactions of the business division being supported to ensure all internal and external requirements are met.

Responsibilities:

  • For new and existing deals, track audits based on seller audit policy.

  • Maintain seller audit tracker file with audit status and due date.

  • Establish audit scope based on standard audit scopes included in audit policy. Obtain Sponsoring Officer approval of audit scope.

  • Obtain engagement estimate based on proposed scope.

  • Determine auditor availability.

  • Provide contacts to auditor to coordinate audit timing.

  • Engage auditor. Arrange for SO to sign engagement letters.

  • Track audit progress from engagement to report issuance.

  • Review audit report.

  • Create audit cover sheet to track audit points.

  • Share report and findings with the transaction team.

  • If needed, schedule a follow up call to review results.

  • Document any required follow up on the audit cover sheet.

  • Finalize audit

Qualifications:

  • Relevant professional experience

  • Individual must have excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.

  • Individual must work well under tight deadlines, manage priorities, and complete assigned tasks with minimal management follow up.

  • Knowledge of Excel and other Microsoft based programs.

  • Tableau or visualization tool familiarity

  • Keen attention to detail

  • Developed analytical and problem-solving abilities

  • Client relationship and solution skills

Additional non-core qualifications which will be considered are:

  • Experience within a large global team supporting wholesale lending at large financial Institution

  • Knowledge of wholesale loan (syndicated / bilateral) product and business, including an understanding of legal loan documentation, loan / funding mechanics, deal structure, funds flows, etc.

  • Experience working with clients under time constraints to facilitate a transaction or process.

  • Proven ability to collaborate with team members, Senior management, and other business constituents

  • Critical decision-making capabilities including the ability to identify, escalate, and propose solutions to problems

  • Ability to multi-task through the practice of strong organizational and time management skills with experience in continuously following-up with various stakeholders

  • Understanding and awareness of appropriate corporate and regulatory policies in relation to Lending

  • Focus on achieving/exceeding key operating standards within a KPI/metrics driven culture

  • Ability to work in an environment where priorities are frequently changing

Education:

  • Bachelor's/University degree or equivalent experience
