Overview
Under the general management of the Field Service Manager, the Field Service Technician will inspect, repair, or supervise repairs on current and obsolete equipment manufactured by Material Handling Solutions. This remote position will be in the South or North Central Region of the US.
Responsibilities
• Maintain and protect all tools, meters, and supplies necessary for the performance of field service duties. • Identify responsibility for nonperformance or malfunction of equipment (Warranty/Paid). • Provide information and promote company products that will benefit customer's operations. • Responsible for making sound technical decisions based on logical reasoning and analysis. • Provide training seminars on new installations and existing equipment when required or at customer's request. • Recommend changes to customer's auxiliaries (hoppers, chutes, support structures, etc.) to improve performance to satisfy customer's requirements. • Provide information on other MHS products that will benefit customer's operations.
• Assist on special pick-up or delivery situations. • Must have and maintain valid driver's license. • Must be able to work varied schedules with extended hours. • Must be willing to travel 70% of the time. • When not in the field candidate must support operations and customer service. • Other duties/tasks as assigned and/or necessary.
Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- 5-10 years of Field Service experience required.
- Assembly, fabrication, machining, welding, and electrical experience required.
- Manufacturing experience with SMH products (conveyer equipment) preferred.
- Must possess accuracy and keen attention to detail.
- Proven ability to meet deadlines and manage priorities.
- Must be able to read and understand drawings and perform basic mathematical calculations.
