Hiring for local Solar installers,

Job Description

Solar helpers will work on a solar site outside Baltimore, MD, located in Belair, MD. They assist electricians with the electrical scope of the project, working in small teams to complete the assembly of the racking system. Tasks include staging materials, pulling wire, completing connections, conduit installation, completing home runs, and assisting electricians. Helpers may also perform non-electrical tasks such as assembling racking or site clean-up.

Work Environment:

The project is in an old farm field. Conditions can be wet and muddy. Candidates will also be working in the inclement weather including rain, snow and cold.

Hours M-F 6:30 am-5:30 pm ( OT = Available )

Saturdays are required for the time being until headcount is up.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining safety and quality.

2. Provide recommendations to improve project safety performance.

3. Ensure adherence to code and specifications by checking work.

4. Maintain, clean, and store company equipment, materials, and the work site safely.

5. Collect and dispose of scrap, excess materials, and refuse.

6. Unload trucks and stage materials in the field.

7. Coordinate actions with other workers on busy construction sites.

8. Identify strengths and weaknesses of solutions to problems for successful and cost-effective outcomes.

9. Work in a production environment with set daily goals.

10. Anticipate and solve problems.

Hard Skills

• Ability to work with tools and equipment such as, power and non-powered hand tools.

• Strong teamwork orientation.

• Positive attitude and professionalism.

• Detail orientation while performing a task.
