Cadence Design Systems, Inc. Solutions Architect (System Sales Team) in Beijing, China

The System Sales Team (SST) Solutions Architect is responsible for working collaboratively with customers, R&D and the sales team to identify system industry trends and to bring innovative system solution design flows to identified key customers to ensure they are successful with the Cadence systems product portfolio. The goal is a successful technical engagement that helps the sales team establish an ongoing business relationship with identified customers.

Cadence continues to expand its system product portfolio and to expand its market share in the broader system segment, in addition to the capabilities itemized above, this individual must provide leadership to establish Cadence’s public presence in this segment.

The SST Solutions Architect must possess the following abilities:

  • Credentialed system architecture and design technical expertise in the area of design flows and application related to the types of products in the Cadence systems product portfolio. Must have the ability to analyze complex customer environments and then advocate a design flow solution while providing technical guidance to the customer on the technical and business benefits of the solution. Additionally, must have a detailed knowledge of EDA and related products to convince internal technical communities of the validity of the solution being proposed.

  • Strong cross organizational skills to advocate on the customer’s behalf to internal Cadence technical and business stakeholders to support the customer situation as an understanding of the customer requirements emerge and solidify.

  • Knowledge of the software sales process to be able to work collaboratively with the sales organization with an understanding of business processes associated with customer engagement.

  • Demonstrable soft skills that include exceptional verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills; able to negotiate, influence, resolve conflict and consult at senior and executive customer levels in all situations; able to partner with, explain to and advise customers on business issues, highly technical and complex solutions, and integration challenges.

  • Industry reputation for example with presence on industry standards bodies or industry organizations. Industry influence that is visible across various segments of interest such as Aero and Defense, Automotive or Communication systems.

The candidates must have the following background and experiences:

  • EE or CS degree, MS or Ph.D. preferred, though a degree in a related field will be considered.

  • Strong, referenceable cross organizational and interpersonal skills given the diverse community of people both in the customer base and Cadence.

  • Demonstrated success working with sales organizations and an understanding of the sales process.
