Vertical Insights Team in Content Service organization is building personalized recommendation in finance / sports / game domains in various product, including MSN and Edge default home page, etc. Our team focus on full recommendation stack building, especially the modeling parts in different recommendation layers, including document understanding, segment recall, user profile modeling, personalized ranking, diversity optimization, etc.

Responsibilities

• As backend engineer, you would be responsible for helping to craft, build, grow, and operate big data pipeline/storage and AI/ML platform, including:

• Building big data storage with fast response for both reporting and feature purpose.

• Understand and support of ML related feature. Push the feature end to end, especially online serving stack.

• Implement high quality code that needs little attention after completion.

• Work within a team of talented developers and product managers.

• Participate in, and support the team culture.

Qualifications

• 10+ years or more of a proven track record for building and shipping production software

• Demonstrated ability and experience in the entire services development cycle: design, implementation, deployment, and live site

• Experience with “Big Data” related problem, including the following:

• Pipeline/ETL; Storage; Performance; Scalability; Data modeling;

• Passion for supporting great quality, high performance, and reliable system/API

• Experienced with combined engineering teams which owned testing and deployment is preferred

• Bachelor's or master’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent industry experience
