Responsibilities
The candidates' goal is to increase the number of users who use our web search engine by delivering the most relevant documents for their queries. To do this, they will need to:
Define metrics that measure the quality of user experience and satisfaction
Develop and apply cutting-edge machine learning models and ranking algorithms that match user intent and preferences
Manage and improve the data and data pipeline that feed the ranking models with reliable and diverse signals
Design and maintain a robust and scalable ranking infrastructure that can serve the ranking models efficiently and safely
Explore new ways to enhance relevance by analyzing user data or learning from the latest research and best practices in the industry and academia
Qualifications
Candidates must have a Master’s or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, and at least 6 years of working experience. They should also have strong skills in design and problem-solving, and a commitment to quality and engineering excellence at scale. They should be able to learn new techniques from textbooks or research papers and apply them to relevant business problems. Machine learning experience, especially in deep learning projects, is essential. Experience in recommendation algorithms or natural language processing is an advantage. Moreover, candidates should have strong skills in communication, collaboration, and analysis, and be able to execute effectively across team collaborations.
