Job Summary

You have the chance to become member of our global finance team. We are seeking a detail-oriented and self-motivated Junior Accountant with approximately two years of experience to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will assist in managing daily accounting tasks and ensure that the company’s finances/accounting run smoothly. The entity belongs to the Caterpillar Energy Solutions group that is a globally leading provider of decentralized energy solutions. Besides the manufactory of gas and hydro fired gas genset solutions the group provides after sale service.

The group employs more than 1.500 employees in various locations all around the world and is part of the Caterpillar group.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports.

  • Perform reconciliations of bank accounts and general ledger accounts.

  • Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts.

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.

  • Support month-end and year-end close processes.

  • Assist with audits and tax filings.

  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies.

  • Provide support to the Senior Accountant and other team members as needed.

  • Ensure accounting entries recording and reporting are done accurately

  • Provide support to other departments

  • Ensure all payable documents are in compliance with company's compliance policy: i.e. to reject improper documents that contradict with compliance policy set by HQ

  • Submit vendor creation application of finance department through MDG to HQ

  • Submit foreign currency payment/receipts related application and documents to bank/SAFE

  • Verify staff expense applications to ensure that applications are in compliance with HR policy/financial policy before payment or input into the financial system; reject and advise of claim amendment while needed

  • Daily updated of financial data (GL/AP/AR/Cost accrual/Fixed assets depreciation/Prepaid expenses amortization/tax accrual & other financial data) into the SAP financial module and maintain supporting documents by excel (including fixed assets list/prepaid expenses list/stamp tax calculation detail etc.)

  • Prepare monthly Accounts Receivable statements to sales Dept. and parts Dept., monitor, and coordinate with departments to follow up on overdue payments and documents of related documentation

  • Stand in for other accountant of CES Beijing during their absence

  • Assist Finance Manager to interact with internal and external auditors in completing audits

  • Any other duties assigned from time to time

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

  • No less than two years of accounting experience.

  • Proficiency in accounting software (SAP preferred).

  • Good understanding of accounting principles and practices.

  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

  • Analytical and problem-solving abilities.

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office software, particularly Excel, Power Points.

  • English as a working language

Top Candidates Will Have:

  • Preferably with 3 to 5 years of work experience;

  • CPA, CMA or pursuing related certification is a plus.

  • Interested in an international and intercultural environment

  • Proficiency in English for business communication
