The Human Resources (HR) Services center of excellence provides operational and support services for Microsoft HR programs, with primary areas of focus being customer support services, core HR operations (HR data administration, onboarding, leave administration, staffing, learning & development, etc.), business process optimization, HR online solutions, and project management. The success of the HR Services organization is critical to the overall effectiveness of HR and our ability to ensure consistent employee and manager experiences companywide.

HR Shared Services Support Specialist is a member of the HR Services organization and plays a key role in ensuring data quality, enablement of downstream applications and processes to perform as expected, and maintaining a compliant HR services organization.

This position is supporting the Great China Region and requires an action oriented professional, who will be primarily responsible for using their problem solving, customer service and data entry skills to support HR Services operations.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on knowledge of experience working in HR shared services, and most importantly the ability exercise responsibility for local benefit, payroll, stock, time and leave related service deliveries, while ensuring the accuracy, integrity and confidentiality of the data. To be successful in this role, the individual in this position will need to leverage their operational execution, attention to detail, customer service, analytical problem solving, communications, and continuous improvement skills.

Responsibilities

  • Support local HR service regular operations, mainly in the areas of benefit, stock, payroll, time and leave.

  • Documents and updates processes, desk-top procedures, and knowledge-based content in a timely manner. Maintain up-to-date Knowledge Base content on policies, procedures & FAQs and share the gained knowledge and experience. Accelerate use of AI in the HR service context.

  • Provide customer support by working with internal partners or stakeholders worldwide, to answer questions and resolve problems. Able to independently resolve exceptions by using discretion. Continuously strive to gain customer satisfaction and minimize complaints on the delivery of HR Services.

  • Process HR-related transactions and deliver routines, troubleshoot data and tool issues, and perform special projects and data audits as needed.Ensure quality data completed within service level agreement depending on priority & complexity.

  • Work in a highly data sensitive environment and be responsible for protecting Data Privacy at all time and adhering to confidentiality requirements to promote zero breach of compliance policies.

  • Participate in implementation of new business policies and processes. Participates in process redesign and recommends changes to the existing process by using independent judgment and discretion, resulting in improved operational efficiency.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree in Human Resources (HR), Business, or related field AND 1+ year(s) work or internship experience in HR operations, HR, or related field OR equivalent experience

  • Familiarity with local benefit and government individual income tax rules.

  • Proficient in speaking and writing English and Chinese languages.

  • Good communication skills to answer customer questions and identify customer main needs, including asking relevant questions and maintain highly confidential & sensitive information.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with common help desk tool, CRM, MSRA and

  • Experience in handling and processing benefit, time & leave, payroll activities.

  • Ability to work with/manage documents on a SharePoint.

  • Familiar in working with SLAs and metrics like quality, accuracy and speed.
