The Retail Business Support (RBS) group is an integral part of Amazon online product lifecycle and buying operations. The team is designed to ensure Amazon remains competitive in the online retail space with the best price, wide selection and good product information. The team’s primary role is to create and enhance retail selection on the worldwide Amazon online catalog. The tasks handled by this group have a direct impact on customer buying decisions and online user experience.

Roles and Responsibilities

You provide consulting to promote business growth by identifying and trend-analyzing elements that serve as important indicators from a huge amount of data, and by continuously communicating with existing vendors with large annual transaction amounts and the number of products handled. In addition, you will explore scalable methods from this practice and build a process that allows us to make a mass approach to vendors whose annual transaction amount or number of products is not large.

At the same time, as a playing manager, you will propose and lead projects of various sizes, and support participating members while leaving a proven track record. You work closely with related internal departments (business managers, inventory managers, web production staff, marketing department, etc.) and carry out each task with the aim of increasing efficiency and quality .

Basic Qualifications

  • 4+ years of sales or account management experience

  • 4+ years of digital advertising and client facing roles experience

  • Experience deep diving on selling partner-level issues and delivering recommendations

  • Experience analyzing data and best practices to assess performance drivers

  • Have native-level Japanese language skills and have experience with Japanese company business practices and negotiation processes

  • Have knowledge of laws related to Japanese business

Preferred Qualifications

  • Have experience coding VBA and SQL

  • Able to understand financial data (B/S, P/L, cash flow) and perform basic financial analysis
