We are looking for an innovative and experienced security research manager to join us in building the world’s leading cloud and enterprise security products and work on scalable cutting-edge solutions that help our customers stay two steps ahead of cyber threats. We are seeking an excellent researcher who is passionate about security, cloud, and real-world problem solving. In this role, you will coach, mentor, and expand a team of world class security experts to deliver innovative security research and content. You will manage complex projects which require intimate familiarity with the security threat landscape and involve collaboration with partners across the Microsoft engineering and research teams. Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of security researchers that work to analyze the threat landscape and contribute innovative content to Microsoft security product.

  • Collaborate with multiple security research teams across Microsoft and work directly with senior leaders to protect Microsoft and its customers against threats.

  • Work closely with product and engineering managers, as well as with leading data scientists and various experts to bring new technologies and mature them from conceptualization to product.

  • Attract and cultivate future talents through various programs with an emphasis on diversity and inclusion.

Qualifications

  • B.Sc./M.Sc./Ph.D. degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline or equivalent nonacademic experience.

  • 12+ years of industry experience.

  • 5+ years of people management experience.

  • Strong understanding of cyber security.

  • Excellent interpersonal’ leadership, and mentoring skills and ability to drive clear cross-team understandings.

  • Qualifications - Other Requirements: Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check:- This position will be required to pass the Microsoft background and Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
