Description

We are looking for an Inventory Clerk based in Bedford Park, Illinois. This role is in the logistics industry and you will be responsible for data entry, cycle counts, researching and correcting inventory errors, and assisting with problem pick tickets and warehouse location accuracies.

Responsibilities:

• Perform data entry to release moves into location or adjust inventory through computer software

• Address departmental paperwork and conduct physical searches/researches of missing products

• Manage receiving schedule of inbound shipments for vendors

• Assist in researching discrepancies on cycle counts

• Support shipping departments with problem pick tickets

• Determine shipping method for material using knowledge of shipping procedures and rates

• Report damages and discrepancies for accounting reimbursement and record-keeping purposes

• Use a warehouse management system and prepare accurate bills for outbound freight

• Work with establishment representatives to rectify problems such as damages, shortages, and nonconformance to specifications

• Track departmental data and generate applicable reports as needed

• Store shipping materials and supplies to maintain an inventory of stock

• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.

This role requires skills in customer service, communication, data entry, Microsoft Excel, planning, procedures, materials handling, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Outlook, workstation support, benefit functions, logistics, production, vendors, paperwork, communication skills, discrepancy, warehouse management, shipping, Microsoft Office Suites, research analysis, specification, and missing invoices. This role offers a short term contract employment opportunity.

Requirements • Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suites including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook

• Strong customer service and communication skills

• Experience with data entry and the ability to handle paperwork efficiently

• Knowledge of planning and logistics for materials handling

• Experience with inventory procedures and warehouse management

• Understanding of supply chain logistics and production processes

• Ability to liaise with vendors and manage discrepancies

• Familiarity with medical coverage and benefit functions

• Proficiency in research analysis and specification tasks

• Ability to manage missing invoices and provide workstation support

• Experience in shipping operations

• Ability to identify and resolve discrepancies in inventory

• Knowledge and understanding of safety regulations in a warehouse environment.
