Nike Senior Principal, Transformation & Org Strategy, Culture & Teaming in Beaverton, Oregon

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We’re looking for a Senior Principal of Culture & Teaming to join our Global Transformation, Org Strategy, & Culture (TOC) team – a team of internal consultants specializing in driving transformation and strategic alignment. To accomplish this, we focus on organization strategy, operating model design, culture activation, team effectiveness, and teammate experience. The Senior Principal will drive and own the teaming practice as an accelerator to activating NIKE’s future culture. WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON

If this is you, you’ll work on critical initiatives to build and co-create practices and solutions in teaming, culture activation, and team effectiveness for senior leadership teams driving the highest impact across NIKE functions and geographies. In a typical day you’ll be partnering with cross-functional teammates and external partners to develop and deliver strategies, plans, practices, and tools based on cutting-edge culture change and teaming practices that effectively enable NIKE teammates to adapt new ways of working during organization transformation to deliver on our business strategies. You’ll work closely with the Senior Director of Culture, Experience, and Teaming to lead and drive NIKE’s teaming practice at scale, designing and facilitating teaming solutions while building teaming capabilities across HR teams and people leaders. You’ll use deep team and culture expertise, systems thinking, and consultation skills to partner across HR, TOC, and business partners to ensure practices are highly effective in the business and connected to NIKE’s strategy.

WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH

Reporting to our Senior Director, Culture Experience & Teaming, you will be part of a global Transformation Org Strategy & Culture (TOC) team with opportunities to work on and lead projects in different parts of NIKE. To do your best work, you will collaborate and co-create with other TOC teammates, HRBPs, business leaders, and partners in Nike’s Acceleration Office, Strategy, People Solutions, Communications, Talent Management, and Learning & Development.

WHAT YOU BRING

  • Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Organizational Development, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Social Sciences or related field (advanced degree is preferred) and minimum of 10 years directly relevant experience; experience should include comprehensive experience as a business/process leader or industry expert. Note: One of the following alternatives may be accepted: PhD or Law + 8 yrs; Masters + 9 yrs; Associates degree + 11 yrs; High School + 12 yrs.

  • Experience working as an internal or external consultant on organizational development, culture change, and/or senior team effectiveness efforts including needs assessments, diagnostics, custom intervention or solution design, facilitation and implementation, and success measurement.

  • Proficiency in team effectiveness theories and methods with specific experience facilitating senior leadership teams, culture activation approaches, organizational development and change with proven ability to pragmatically apply best practice concepts to business challenges that effectively integrate behavioral change with people, structure, and processes.

  • Proven track record to create organizational development, culture change, or teaming strategies, and practical approaches, solutions and measures to drive and sustain behavior change.

  • Ability to work effectively with senior leaders (VPs+), business-facing HR partners, and other business partners to drive, align, and activate highly strategic work with a system thinking approach.
