Nike Senior Director, Executive Development in Beaverton, Oregon

We're seeking a Sr. Director of Executive Development to join our talent management team in Beaverton, Oregon!

We Seek a Leader Who Has:

  • Robust experience in the Learning / Leadership / Executive and/or Talent Management industry with demonstrable experience crafting and building dynamic executive development strategies and experiences.

  • Prior experience leading significant executive leadership shifts aligned with company strategy and the evolution of company culture.

  • Ability to connect the business strategy to Nike’s ambition of scaling people and culture through successful teams while identifying leadership gaps in the executive development portfolio.

  • Ability to reimagine and co-create the future of executive development at Nike by implementing a strategy and roadmap that enables the successful evolution of the executive development portfolio.

  • Impactful influencing skills with prior experience leading large change initiatives within highly matrixed organizations.

WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON:

  • Partner across HR to co-create Nike’s Executive Development Principles, Policies, Strategy, and Roadmap, aligning with Nike’s strategy.

  • Establish, grow, and sustain a robust Governance Operating Model to ensure strong executive sponsorship for Executive Development, with clear strategic goals and investments.

  • Partners and provides thought leadership with the CHRO, CTO, and Head of Talent Management/Executive Development in engagement activities with the Board of Directors, sharing Nike’s Executive Development Strategy, Policies, and Investments and the evolution of Nike’s Executives and established succession plans.

  • Identify and partner with industry-leading vendors to help design, develop, and implement Nike’s Executive Development portfolio, aligning with our HR Operating Model.

  • Partners with the internal Talent Practices team and external partners to define, build, and implement the most appropriate and impactful executive assessment tools and methodologies.

  • Define Nike’s Executive Coaching strategy and policies, partnering with business HR leaders to design the most impactful coaching initiatives.

  • Ensure consistency and integration between Nike’s Leadership and Executive development strategy, policies, tools, and methodologies for a seamless development experience for our teammates across all levels.

  • Define and validate Nike’s Executive Development roadmap with clear goals, objectives and key results, and important metrics to deploy the Executive Development strategy.

  • Leverage internal and external data to assess gaps and impacts of the Executive Development Portfolio.

  • Build Executive Development dashboards to track the evolution towards the established profiles/success criteria.

WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH:

In this role, you’ll report to the VP of Global Talent Management and partner closely with the following teams:

  • HR Leadership Team, Talent Leadership Team, and Talent Management Leadership Team for alignment and strong sponsorship.

  • Head of Global L&D and the Leadership Development team to ensure a strong and consistent Leadership / Executive Development portfolio and experiences.

  • People Solutions to align/collaborate on executive development solutions and activation.

  • Talent Practices to ensure best-in-class executive development practices.

WHAT YOU BRING:

  • Typically requires a Bachelor's degree in Industrial, Organizational Psychology, Executive Development, Organizational Development, Adult Learning, or a related field. Master's Degree is preferred

  • 10+ years of demonstrable experience in in-house leadership / executive development for large and sophisticated multinational organizations

  • Prior experience as an external consultant for a leading provider in executive development is a plus

  • Certified Executive Coach

  • Certified practitioner in one or more 5-factor psychometric assessments (ideally Hogan)

  • Certified practitioner in more than one team efficiency methodology (e.g., Lencioni)

  • Deep understanding of pedagogy, practices & trends in Leadership Development

  • Confident communicator, facilitator, and performance consultant at the senior executive level
