MKS Instruments Inc R&D Engineering Technician in Beaverton, Oregon

A Day in Your Life at MKS:

As an Engineering Technician at MKS, you will partner with design engineering, manufacturing engineering and operations teams to build, document, provide design input and train operations personnel on New Product Introduction (NPI) builds. This supports cutting edge technology release to the Marketplace. You will have the chance to work hand in hand with design engineers as systems are being designed and built to provide feedback that ensures systems are manufacturable, serviceable, reliable and of the highest quality.

You Will Make an Impact By:

· Capital Equipment Assembly, Calibration and Test

· System & sub-assembly documentation

· Feedback to advanced manufacturing engineering and design engineering

· Bill of Materials (BOM) structure and analysis

· Input in design for manufacturability, serviceability and cost

Skills You Bring:

· Technical associate degree, military experience, or relevant work experience preferred

· 3+ years of Capital equipment build, and documentation writing experience preferred

· Proficient in all Microsoft Office Suites (Excel, Word, PPT)

· Auto-CAD experience preferred, but not required

· Class 4 Laser and applied optics integration experience preferred, but not required

· Ability to crouch, stand, bend and work on systems for extended periods of time. The employee must have high manual dexterity and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, Class 4 lasers and vibration.

Ability to travel internationally may be required. Requires appropriate work authorization to freely enter and exit the United States of America, and other primarily Asia Pacific countries. We are interested in a qualified candidate who are eligible to work in the United States. However, we will not sponsor employment visas at this time.
