What you bring
Have minimum of 5 years relevant materials work experience (sourcing, packaging, supply chain, product or manufacturing).
Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Business or related field.
Have Sourcing, Packaging, and/or Supply Chain Planning experience (highly desirable), across an outsourced and offshore manufacturing base. Specifically, knowledge of footwear and/or apparel (textile, trim, packaging, garment) manufacturing and supply chain is preferred.
Have excellent written and verbal communication skills, including strong presentation skills
Adapt and adjust plans in a volatile environment (are tolerant for ambiguity)
Effectively communicate globally, across the matrix, and across a broad partner base in varied settings
Respect diverse cultures and appropriately drive collaboration and partnerships with our factories and vendors.
Are able to travel, approx. 10% of the time
Who are we looking for
As a Packaging Sourcing Manager, you will be part of the team accountable for delivering on Nike’s foundational packaging goals of capability, sustainability, profitability, and delivery!
What will you work on
You will Create & execute packaging classification sourcing strategies that create the balance between profitability, sustainability, capability, and lead-time.
This will include partnering with Packaging Development & Packaging Costing to drive seasonal development of all related packaging products and support sustainability initiatives.
With a lense to sustainability, you'll bring strong knowledge of the packaging industry and marketplace to support strategy creation and. research.
You will provide development, pricing, strategy, and operations support to the company to drive strong cross-functional and partner partnerships internally & externally.
Who will you work with
You will report to the Director of Packaging Sourcing, Development, and Operations and sit on a team who work in areas of development, sustainability, engineering, sourcing, and operations.
Partner engagement is critical, and you will be responsible for establishing and maintaining key relationships with both internal partners & external suppliers to achieve Nike’s enterprise wide goals in packaging.
