Nike Lead, Project Management, Global Retail Marketing in Beaverton, Oregon

WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH

As a Project Management Lead for Global Retail Marketing Partner & Omni Channel, you will work with a diverse set of individuals, teams, and functions across Global & Geography organizations. This role reports directly to the Director of Planning & Operations for Global Retail Marketing and is encouraged to build and sustain strong relationships with Nike Marketplace Partners, Global Brand Marketing Field of Play Teams, Nike Stores, Retail Design, Visual Merchandising, Nike Digital Marketing, Branded Services, Planning & Operations, in addition to outside vendors & agencies. You will work closely with Geography teams to both provide critical functional direction.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We’re looking for an experienced Project Manager to drive operational excellence for the Global Retail Marketing function, ensuring efficient and effective workflow process and business objectives are met.

Looking for an individual with a passion for process creation and a skillset to support the creation and documentation of process across multiples tools and platforms. This individual will succeed by bringing a strong brand knowledge of current CODE process, a curiosity to explore and gather more insights that will help guide the process creation process, strong organizational & leadership skills.

This role requires an advanced level of problem solving using limited information to implement solutions with the ability to foresee most future implications. We are looking for someone that develops and manages operational initiatives to deliver tactical results.

Strong communication skills and ability to understand challenges or underlying concerns, share ideas, clarify or resolve discrepancies, and develop effective responses or elevate to higher management is, a critical skill to bring to this role.

The candidate needs to be a self-starter with the ability to work through ambiguity in a highly collaborative environment.

  • Minimum of 6 years directly relevant work experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education, experience or training

  • Possess a clear passion for Project Management & a clear understanding of how to successfully manage scope, schedule & budget.

  • Ability to see around corners and anticipate scope creep and timing issues.

  • Ability to navigate and utilize complex Project Management tools (ie Air Table)

  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, as well as strong influencing & negotiating skills.

  • A track record of implementing process.

  • Self-motivated with excellent organizational skills.

  • Pro-active problem solver, with the ability to assess an issue and develop action steps for resolution.

  • Able to work as part of a matrix, with an ability to collaborate cross-functionally towards a common goal.

  • Can-do demeanor with the shown ability to adapt to changes in business needs or direction.

  • Knowledge of the current retail landscape and the latest trends and innovations for retail.

WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON

  • As a Project Management Lead for Global Retail Marketing Partner & Omni Channel, you will help facilitate the integration of Nike Marketplace Partner Marketing and Omni Channel process into Marketing CODE. You will do this by leveraging key partners across the business and marketing functions to deliver seasonal retail brand creative directives. The person in this role will help enable a cohesive approach to seasonal marketplace planning, readiness and directive delivery.

A typical day/week includes

  • Project Manage multiple workstreams at one-time & provide detailed project tracking reports that identify key deliverables and timelines

  • Manage vendor relationships and budget

  • Partner with cross functional teams to drive dates and gates, to deliver on time & within budget

  • Manage distribution of deliverables to Geos, Geo communications, touch points, Global / Geo feedback sessions and postmortem conversations

  • Update Retail Marketing priority projects project tracker and create workback schedules

  • Manage purchasing process by opening PO’s, submitting contracts for Nike Legal, and partnering with Procurement, when needed.

  • Drive cross functional alignment and communication with partners
