Robert Half Accounts Receivable Specialist in Beaverton, Oregon

Description

We are seeking a meticulous and experienced Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our client's finance team in the Beaverton, Oregon area. The ideal candidate will have strong data entry skills and a high level of proficiency in Excel. In this role, you will be responsible for managing accounts receivable functions, ensuring timely and accurate processing of payments, and maintaining financial records. Your attention to detail and advanced Excel skills will be critical in generating reports, analyzing data, and supporting overall financial operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Process and record incoming payments, including checks, electronic transfers, and credit card transactions.

  • Reconcile customer accounts, track outstanding invoices, and follow up on overdue payments.

  • Prepare and send customer statements and invoices, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.

  • Accurately enter and update payment and billing information into the accounting system.

  • Maintain and verify customer data, ensuring completeness and correctness of records.

  • Communicate with customers to address payment inquiries, resolve billing issues, and ensure timely resolution of disputes.

  • Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes, including reconciliation of accounts receivable balances.

    Requirements

Requirements:

  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field preferred but not required.

  • 1+ years of proven experience in accounts receivable, finance, or a similar role.

  • Strong data entry skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.

  • High-level proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions such as VLOOKUP and pivot tables.

  • Experience with accounting software or ERP systems, especially SAP, is a plus.

  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.

  • Strong communication skills and ability to interact professionally with customers and team members.

  • Ability to work independently and handle sensitive financial information with discretion.
