ABOUT THIS POSITION (Job Description)

By joining KBR, you will be a key part of the Air Force’s pioneering effort to develop and field autonomy-focused capabilities. This will enable the Air Force to operate and sustain low-cost, teamed aircraft that can thwart adversaries with quick, decisive actions in contested environments. This position requires an Acquisition Program Manager to help manage and execute multiple projects related to the Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) programs to develop and demonstrate autonomy technologies that will enable various AF mission sets.

Role and Responsibilities: This position supports AFRL/RS and AFRL/RY in the execution of multiple autonomy-related programs. The applicant should have a DoD Acquisition Program Management background, understands how to execute agile programs, can develop acquisition program documentations from scratch, and has a broad and diverse skillset to run this program. The candidate will help transition this program from it's Air Force Research Lab (AFRL) experimentation/prototype phase to an Air Force Life Cycle Management Center System Program Office. Having knowledge of AFRL and AFLCMC programs is preferred, and experience with developing and fielding rapid and agile programs is highly desired for this person to be successful. The selected candidate should be a self-starter, who understands the acquisition landscape and knows how to solve complex problems and communicate effectively with Air Force senior leaders.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS :

Education: An ABET accredited engineering/technical bachelor's degree is required.

APDP PM Level I is required

A minimum of 10 years of related experience is required.

Clearance: Current Top Secret (TS) with Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) eligibility is required.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS :

Experience with autonomy is highly desired.
