What You’ll Do

We are currently seeking Engineers possessing software development skills with desired experience in Position, Navigation and Timing (PNT), Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS), or other RF or satellite communications engineering to join our team in Dayton, OH. As a PNT Engineer, you will be responsible for developing software to control and interface with lab equipment for hardware in the loop testing of GPS and GNSS receivers, physical setup and measurement of results, as well as analysis and reporting of the findings. This job also includes interfacing and communicating clearly with customers and co-workers. We are seeking applicants who can deliver innovative solutions and work in an environment that encourages agile, mission-driven approaches that deliver valuable results through efficient means to their customers.

As a PNT Engineer, you will:

  • Perform multi-disciplined engineering and analysis primarily in the areas of Position, Navigation and Timing (PNT), Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS), Communications, signal propagation theory, or electronics. The types of activities supported include scenario development, simulation, static lab testing, hardware-in-the-loop testing, data processing, and field testing.

  • Serve as Project Lead for complex tasks requiring extensive knowledge in multiple technical disciplines. Other positions include serving as functional subject matter experts.

  • Provide engineering, technical, and managerial direction for problem definition, analysis, constraint development and implementation for complex systems required to meet technical requirements. Activities include making recommendations and advising on system development, improvements, optimization, or support efforts. Performs risk assessments and analysis employing modeling and simulation techniques.

  • Author reports, contribute to and develop presentations, plans, and contribute insights in support of the program.

Anticipated Skill Set:

Required:

  • 3 years of related work experience.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related STEM degree program.

  • Proficiency in the following languages: C based language (C/C#/C++), Python.

  • Ability to manage, manipulate, maintain, and update complex code repositories on Git or similar version control software.

  • Ability to create intelligent visualizations depicting analytic findings.

  • Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.

  • Strong verbal and organized written communications skills.

Desired:

  • Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related STEM degree program.

  • Proficiency working with GNSS/GPS test equipment and control software’s such as BroadSim, Spirent, or Panacea.

  • Experience in designing and creating exhaustive test bench matrices.

  • Ability to streamline bench testing and data analysis via automation of hardware configuration through remote communication.

  • Demonstrated ability to work productively with team members, government partners, diverse organizations across the DoD, and other branches of government.

Requirement:

  • U.S. Citizenship is required.

  • Must pass a Security Pre-Screen and have the ability to obtain a security clearance.
