NextGen Federal Systems Senior Software Engineer in Beavercreek, Ohio
NextGen Federal Systems, LLC is currently seeking a Senior Software Engineer with relevant experience and interest in modernizing and maintaining radar signal processing software systems. This work supports processing, exploitation, and dissemination (PED) modernization efforts for intelligence community customers. NextGen software engineers provide on-site support to the National Air and Space Intelligence Center (NASIC) in developing, modernizing, and maintaining these systems using industry best practices, standards, and agile development processes; cutting-edge technologies, with DevSecOps tools and techniques
Job Responsibilities
Design and implement new capabilities
Resolve issues found in existing code
Integrate capabilities with external services and tools
Required Skills
BS in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology (IT) or closely related field
Full lifecycle software engineering experience with Object Oriented (OO) development
Preferred Experience
Design and development with C++ on Linux and/or Solaris platforms
Familiarity with DDS, QT, ClearCase, modern IDEs, Oracle, and PostgreSQL databases
Web front end and web services development
Cloud computing platforms (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS), microservices, containers
Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines
Version control, bug/issue tracking software
RF, laser, EO / IR sensor performance and phenomenology
Required Education
- BS in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology (IT) or closely related field
Security Requirements
US Citizenship Required
Active Top Secret security clearance with current SCI eligibility is required
