DAIRY FARMERS OF AMERICA INC Retail Operations Manager in BEAVER, Utah

The Retail Operations Manager will manage the daily retail operations, including ensuring adequate staffing and training of retail employees to provide a world class guest experience. Manage the retail staff scheduling process from start to finish including creating the schedule, publishing the schedule, and managing all adjustments to the schedule to ensure excellent guest service within budget. Be accountable for honest and accurate cash management procedures with all staff. Partner with HR to interview and hire all staff. Coaching, mentoring, and holding staff accountable for their performance and results. A significant amount of emphasis and time will focus on working, training, and coaching actively on the retail sales floor, including acting as cashier, stocker, etc. as needed. There will be additional roles and responsibilities as assigned by the director.

Job Duties and Responsibilities: * Actively participate as a member of The Creamery leadership team * Directly supervise daily operations and staff of the retail store * Plan and develop work schedules and assign employees to specific duties * Train store personnel and maintain employee relations * Manage Kronos for direct reports (schedules, attendance) * Communicate and enforce store policies and procedures * Maintain store appearance, including ensuring correct merchandise displays * Ensure all store personnel are demonstrating excellent guest engagement and guest service; address opportunities as they arise including employee accountability and guest service issues * Perform all retail activities as needed, including but not limited to assisting guests, operating the cash registers, replenishing merchandise/stocking shelves, performing light cleaning of the retail area (sweeping, dusting, etc.), making gift boxes/filling orders, etc. * Reconcile cash with sales receipts, keep operating records, and prepare daily records of transactions * Monitor sales activities to ensure guests receive satisfactory service and quality goods * Maintain accurate records of purchases, sales, and requisitions and review store reports to identify areas of waste * Provide input into approaches for achieving sales goals and minimizing shrinkage * The requirements herein are intended to describe the general nature and level of work performed by employee, but is not a complete list of responsibilities, duties, and skills required. Education and Experience * High school diploma or GED equivalent * 5 years of retail store operations experience with an increasing level of responsibility * Supervisory or management experience * Certification and/or Licenses - Food Safety Manager Certificate from the state of Utah may be required

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities * Skill to demonstrate the technical and professional competence required to perform responsibilities and accomplish objectives * Strong knowledge and skill with Microsoft Office Suite and POS systems * Skill in using computers and software applications (SAP) * Skill in accounting and math * Able to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing, for a diverse range of internal and external audiences * Able to interact positively and work effectively with others (interpersonal skills) * Able to collaborate effectively and foster good teamwork * Able to inspire others to meet goals and commitments * Able to organize time, energy, and resources effectively to achieve goals (i.e., organizational skills) * Able to demonstrate solid business judgment and decision-making skills * Able to provide honest and constructive feedback * Must be able to read, write and speak English An Equal Opportunity Employer
