Description:

Essential functions:

  • Provide leadership to employees engaged in shipping/receiving/material handling and directing daily priorities ensuring on time delivery for customer orders.

  • Ensure EHS and Certification training's are keep up to date for department employees.

  • Ensure standard operating procedures (SOPs) are reviewed, updated and followed.

  • Follow through on action items, audits and ensure service to equipment.

  • Manageshipping schedules to provide impromptu service regarding special packing andloading requests.

  • Update SAP and Transplace systems to frequently update status of packing and loading of requests.

  • Provide input on accurate management of on time delivery metric and proper coding of any late orders.

  • Review orders for acceptable terms and requested delivery dates.

  • Ensure proper transactions and manual checks are executed throughout the process to drive SAP inventory integrity.

  • Coordinate material movements as needed to support quality initiatives and production requirements.

  • Time and attendance management, performance reviews and conflict resolution for shipping employees within assigned department.

  • Responsible for work assignment of assigned employees.

The ShippingSupervisor is responsible for the warehouse personnel working in the Warehouse

and Loading racks, material planner, and logistics coordinator. In this role

you will oversee and manage the loading and unloading of trucks and rail cars

of raw materials, packaging and shipment of finished products while meeting plant

EHS, PSM and DOT guidelines and regulations.

OurIdeal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma/GED with at least 4 years of experience in Logistics/Traffic / Warehousing/Planning) in a chemical plant environment.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in warehouse management, loading racks and planning is preferred

  • At least 3 years direct supervision of hourly employees

  • Knowledge of Kronos or similar timekeeping system

  • Knowledge of SAP systems operations, data entry, processing / output

  • Strong oral and written communication skills

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

  • Lean or equivalent Quality training
