Chemical Lab Technician-Beaumont, TX

Kelly Science & Clinical is seeking a Chemical Laboratory Technician for one of our clients, an environmental services company, in Beaumont, TX.

As a Laboratory Technician you will contribute to upkeep of lab equipment and materials, as well as create and effectively manage documentation related to research and perform lab-based chemical tests.

Essential Functions/Responsibilities:

• Conduct testing on raw material, in-process and finished materials using analytical instrumentation and wet chemistry methodology

• Maintain and make general repairs to quality equipment and instrumentation

• Assist the EHS team with waste manifest and other required documentation for waste shipments

• Lab scale polymerizations

• Perform routine and non-routine sample analysis

• Maintains continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities and continuing needs

• Maintain the quality system as established by the Quality System Manual, audit the quality system for effectiveness

• Maintain a safe and clean work space by following Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) programs and procedures and to ensure compliance with regulations.

• Other duties as required

Qualifications/Requirements:

• High school diploma / GED

• Minimum of 1 year experience in a Quality control lab and/or minimum of 5 years’ experience working in a chemical manufacturing environment.

• Ability and willingness to work a rotating schedule

• Pay rate: $18-19 per hour
