Corewell Health Facilities Architect Planner in Beaumont Blvd, Michigan

Job Summary

Assesses and summarizes alternatives and recommendations regarding perceived space-related needs in order to facilitate Facilities Planning decision making for Beaumont Health.

Essential Functions

  • Assesses space-related issues and needs. Develops alternatives for review and approval and anticipates the outcomes of each alternative course of action.

  • Communicates proposed space needed solutions and related phasing and wayfinding impacts to Administrative and PM’s staffs. Proposals are reviewed, critiqued, approved and prioritized.

  • Attends Program and Project, Service Line and Task Force meetings to assess potential impacts on the Beaumont Health Long Range Facilities Master Plan.

  • Keeps track of Beds in Service, Temporarily Closed and Permanently Closed areas and helps facilitate the making of Bed Master changes related to the opening and closing of inpatient beds. Documents and studies capacity used to evaluate future space planning needs.

  • Uses tools and equipment appropriately. Knows when and how to use tools and equipment to perform the job in an efficient, effective and safe manner. Consistently uses tools and equipment correctly on the job.

  • Maintains and contributes to a safe work environment. Adheres to all safety policies, procedures and practices, including the wearing of protective clothing and gear.

Qualifications

  • Required Bachelor's Degree in Architecture or Industrial Engineering.

  • 5 years of relevant experience Five to seven years in a technical capacity. Required
