The Toro Company Area Sales Manager - Exmark in Beatrice, Nebraska

The Area Sales Manager will support Regional Sales Manager (RSM) and Territory Managers (TM’s) to successfully implement Exmark sales and marketing initiatives within the Exmark Direct Territory (EDS), particularly to achieve a market share leadership position and ensure dealer alignment with Exmark expectations.

What Will You Do?  

In order to grow and build a successful career with The Toro Company, you will be responsible for :   ​ ​ ​ ​

  • Supports Exmark Direct Territory Managers to meet or exceed stated sales objectives.

  • Work closely with RSM to create effective sales and marketing programs.

  • Responsible for the coordination and budget of local and regional marketing strategies for all EDS TM’s.

  • Work with Marketing to create dealer co-op plan options, manage the co-op budget and assist dealers with co-op claims.

  • Manage the budget for dealer transfer terms, Zero Down Time payouts, incentive payouts, miscellaneous credits, clothing allowance, dealer events, etc.

  • Coordinate with RSM and TM’s and provide support for all local tradeshows and EDS dealer events.

  • Create retail and shipment forecasts for all TM regions.

  • Work with the RSM and TM to evaluate market opportunities for EDS territory using Geo Analytics, Qlikview, Constellation Data, retail analysis and historical territory performance.

  • Provide dealer and distributor support for New Mexico and Hawaii.

  • Create all price deviations for transfers, dealer close outs, etc.

  • Populate data for master spreadsheet, booking resources and the EDS Business Growth Manual

  • Create all reporting for field inventory and program estimates.

  • Provide planning, programming and sign-up support for dealer Customer Care program.

  • Work with RSM to create unique programming, reporting, presentations and communications to a specific distributor.

  • Coordinate and execute EDS TM meetings and events.

  • Create and send communications to Territory Managers and dealers for monthly calls, program updates, promotion information, registration reminders, etc.

       

    What Do You Need?  

    To be considered for this role, an individual should meet the following minimal requirements:   ​

  • Bachelor's Degree in appropriate field of study from a four-year college or university and 5+ years of related experience is preferred. Minimally candidate will have HS Diploma and 2+ years of professional experience.

  • The position requires a working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.

  • Strong communication and organizational skills are required to successfully interact with external and internal customers.
