Job Summary:

The CNC Operator will use computer numeric controlled machinery safely and accurately to perform a variety of functions. During production, the CNC Operator must monitor the machinery and conduct regular quality checks to ensure they are running properly and that the parts are being produced according to specifications. Accuracy is crucial to our production, so all candidates must pay attention to detail and be extremely focused on their work.

Scope:

  • Prepare, setup, and operate CNC Machine to perform tasks such as Threading pipe BTX connections Box and Pin according to API 5CT and RDT SPEC and Turn and Bore on the Box/Upset side of the pipes, etc.
  • Validate machine programs and work instructions before machining to assure accuracy of operations.
  • Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, and sketches to determine sequence and methods for machining components.
  • Monitor machine speed and the run throughout the cycle, checking that product specifications are met.
  • Conduct programming modifications as required.
  • Analyze products for quality and defects.
  • May assist with establishing work instructions and guidelines for Operators and Machinists to perform the functions of their jobs.
  • Participates in the companys efforts to continuously improve Safety, Quality, and Productivity.
  • Report any safety or maintenance concerns immediately.
  • Maintain proper housekeeping of work area; keep all work areas clean and organized and all machines, tools, and equipment and work surfaces free of oil, grease, etc.
  • Willing to learn and take on additional tasks as assigned; other responsibilities as deemed appropriate or necessary by management.
  • Maintain safe operations by adhering to RDT, Inc. safety policies and procedures.
  • Work as a team player with others in a demanding fast-paced environment to meet frequently changing production.

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience with the use of calipers and other instruments is required.
  • A minimum of one year of experience in a similar role is preferred.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Word, Power Point, Outlook, etc.)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to follow procedures and maintain accurate records.
  • Must be able to lift to 30 pounds at a time.
  • Quick learner and able to manage multiple projects at the same time.
