Penske Logistics LLC Logistics Engineer II in Beachwood, Ohio
[Design and implement IT related business solutions using engineering tools for modeling. Support customers, development activities, or request for proposals by designing, developing, analyzing, or implementing comprehensive transportation solutions. Collect data, perform transportation/supply chain, routing, statistical and mapping analysis, design customized solutions and work on a team that is developing or implementing the service solutions. Participate in location startups, process improvement teams and cost savings initiatives. Assist with logistics analysis in support of both operational and new sales projects. Assist with the development and implementation of engineering solutions, including programming/software development. Assist with maintenance and support activities for all existing solutions. Support the preparation of technical and user documentation for all solutions; and the preparation of results documents and presentation formats. Interact with internal and external customers. Ensure a solution will meet financial goals and provide cost savings. Meet customer deadlines by providing required designs, analysis or implementations. [Applicants will qualify w/a Bachelor's Degree in Operations Research, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, Logistics, Management Science or a related field plus 2 years of experience in the job offered or as an Industrial Engineer. Experience must include supply chain and network modeling design tools; the ability to analyze data and conduct extensive research; and use of Blue Yonder, Coupa/Llamasoft, Tableau, and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Access, Word and PowerPoint).
