JOB SUMMARY

Boyne Resorts is conducting a search to identify an experienced General Manager to lead one of the premier hotels, The Inn at Bay Harbor. The position will drive overall growth, including development and implementation of strategies that align with the goals and objectives of the company. You will provide direct leadership, as well as coordination and guidance of overall operations. Inn at Bay Harbor, a Boyne Resort and Marriott Autograph Collection property, is nestled on the shore of Lake Michigan, just outside of Petoskey. It is a picturesque waterfront hotel and resort that offers breathtaking views of Little Traverse Bay. Discover world-recognized golf, multiple restaurants, and a full-service spa, alongside family-friendly fun with lawn games, biking, and so much more. Job Requirements

  • Creating and maintaining a culture of excellence driven by the company core values.

  • Provide strong leadership to senior team, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.

  • Recruit and mentor senior team to ensure high levels of productivity and guest and team member satisfaction.

  • Set clear expectations, performance goals, and provide regular feedback.

  • Monitor guest and team member feedback and implement improvements.

  • Work with senior team to develop and execute strategic plans to maximize revenue and profitability.

  • Monitor financial performance through budget management, revenue forecasting, and cost control.

  • Implement strategies to increase hotel occupancy, average daily rate (ADR).

  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and safety protocols.

  • Work with the safety department to implement and enforce health and safety standards.

  • Collaborate with the golf teams to ensure an exceptional golf experience, revenue growth and guest and member satisfaction.

  • Ensure adherence to environmental and sustainability practices for the Forever Project.

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities and partnerships to increase overall revenue.

  • Represent the Inn at Bay Harbor in the local community and build positive relationships with stakeholders.

  • Participate in community events and initiatives to enhance the establishment's presence and reputation.

  • Experience working with a brand franchise or third-party representation.

  • Communication and collaboration with co-owners and oversight of owner services to ensure co-owner satisfaction. Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management, Business Administration.

  • Five years as a hotel or General manager.

  • Proven experience as a General Manager in a hotel and golf course setting.

  • Strong understanding of hotel operations, financial management, and guest service.

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to make strategic decisions and drive results.
