Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative staff engineer (Memory Test Process Engineer) to lead our technical team in bringing new products to market within a dynamic environment. In this role, you will lead and contribute to the development and implementation of advanced test engineering strategies for our cutting-edge storage products. Below are the key responsibilities:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Test Process Development:

  • Design and implement robust test processes for memory products and system-level testing.

  • Develop and validate test methodologies to meet product performance and quality requirements.

  • Collaborate with product engineering and design teams to define test specifications and strategies.

  • Responsible to manage and deliver engineering support to production for a specific or group of products after technology transfer from NPI to HVM.

  • Continuously looking for ways to error proof the process in backend test.

  • Work on system optimization that governs the entire test processes.

  • Oversee yield performance for the Memory test processes.

Optimization and Troubleshooting:

  • Analyse test results, production issues and troubleshoot to identify root causes thus providing solution on corrective and preventive action.

  • Optimize test flows to improve efficiency, reduce cycle time, and lower costs.

  • Proficiency in 8D problem solving model/approach is required.

Process and Equipment Management:

  • Partner with equipment team & vendors to resolve technical issues and stay updated on the latest test technologies.

  • Exposure to Advantest test platform would be an added advantage.

  • Should pose basic coding skill to understand basic programs for troubleshooting/ Debugging.

Data Analysis and Reporting:

  • Utilize data analytics to monitor test process performance and identify areas for improvement.

  • Monitor and drive yield related issues in Memory test and system test.

  • Generate detailed reports and presentations for management and cross-functional teams.

  • Knowledge in SQL, JMP, Power BI, Spotfire and any other data analytics tools will be an added advantage.

Collaboration and Support:

  • Work closely with manufacturing, QA, Planning teams to implement test solutions in production environments.

  • Provide technical support and training to operators and other stakeholders.

  • Good exposure on manufacturing related documentation is required. (FMEA, Process Flow, Work Instruction, Control plan, SOP, QMS Documents, Product drawings & Etc)

Qualifications

REQUIRED:

  • Degree or master’s in electrical & electronic Engineering, with minimum 5 years’ experience in semiconductor product or test engineering.

  • Understanding of Non-Volatile Memory testing methods

PREFERRED:

  • Deep understanding and experience in Universal Flash Storage Protocol Testing

  • Certified lean six sigma black belt or green belt.

  • Experience in handling automotive product lines and achieving VDA certification.

  • Proficient in programming languages such as Python, SQL, C++, and Java.

  • Proficient in problem solving methodologies (FMEA, DMAIC, Fish bone diagram, 8D), SPC/SBL/SYL and familiar with Flip Chip technology.

SKILLS:

  • Basic ability to read, understand and write Python, SQL, C++ and Java.

  • Ability to lead a technical team and work independently.

  • Highly self-motivated, passionate about innovation, and committed to continuous learning.

  • Proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and consistently meet deadlines.

  • Detail-oriented and capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
