Insight Global Hardware Test Engineer in Redmond, Washington

Job Description

We are looking for a Hardware Test Engineer to work for a leader in the consumer products industry. In this role you will be responsible for

design validation with signal integration on PCB boards. You will be conducting signal loss and test characterizations.

Responsibilities will also include:

Work with cross functional teams to develop and document test procedures

Meet with development teams to review specifications and requirements

Create test approaches and manual test cases for lab and vehicle testing

Perform a variety of test activities including test fixture design and fabrication

Generate test data and results as well as deliver results to cross functional teams

Maintain test equipment and ensure lab areas are kept clean and organized

Skills and Requirements

  • 4+ years design validation experience in power validation, interface validation, and high-speed electrical signal characterization (DVT) of complex system

  • DVT experience for high-speed interfaces (PCIe & DDR4 etc.) and low speed interfaces (USB, I2C & SPI)

  • 4+ years of experience developing and executing test plans for complex aerospace, automotive or consumer electronics systems.

  • 4+ years' experience in the use of standard electronic lab test equipment (i.e., oscilloscopes, network analyzer, spectrum analyzer, etc.)

  • Collaborate with test-software developers, electrical engineering on test planning activities

  • Record and analyze data, and write and present comprehensive test reports to conduct test report reviews with stakeholders

  • 1+ years of scripting or programming experience (Python, MATLAB, C, LabVIEW)

  • Experience interfacing with cross functional teams such as mechanical engineers, HW engineers, SW/ FW engineers.
