Career Opportunity: Apprentice Electrician
How you will impact WestRock:
Under the direct supervisor of a Master Electrician and Department Management, work will consist of installation, maintaining, alternations, additions and/or repairs of or, extending electrical systems, conductors and associated materials equipment within the industrial premises within the electrical industry.
Algin and commit to the DOL Approved Apprentice Program consisting of a minimum of 2,000 hours of on-the-job training is required in each year of Apprenticeship with a minimum 8,000 hours of on-the-job training to complete the program.
Must attend a minimum of 180 hours of job-related education instruction in each year of Apprenticeship training and maintain a minimum passing grade of 70%. There is a minimum of 715 hours of job-related education instruction to complete the program.
Apprenticeship is a four-year commitment. (Min. 8000 on-job-training/Min. 715 classroom hours.)
Attend job-related education instruction a minimum of once per week for 8 hours.
What you need to succeed:
No previous work experience is required.
Be able to pass the required aptitude tests.
Must be able to pass the required post offer, pre-hire requirements, physical, drug screening, aptitude assessments, etc.
Repetitive use of arms, hands and fingers. Lifting equipment and working overhead when required.
