Description

Robert Half is seeking a Bookkeeper for our client in the Health Pharm/Biotech industry located in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. In this role, you will be expected to manage and maintain our financial records, including purchases, sales, receipts, and payments. Your responsibilities will also include collaborating with the team to work on various accounting projects. This is a short-term contract position.

Responsibilities:

• Establish an organized system to account for financial transactions, defining bookkeeping policies and procedures

• Verify, allocate, and post transactions to maintain accounts

• Reconcile entries to balance accounts

• Maintain the general ledger and balance it regularly

• Keep historical records in good quality by filing documents

• Collect, analyze, and summarize account information to prepare financial reports

• Review payments received and record deposits while crafting Accounts Receivable invoices

• Perform data entry tasks and use Microsoft Excel to organize data

• Conduct account reconciliation and month-end close procedures

• Use QuickBooks for various bookkeeping tasks

• Handle payroll duties for the organization

Requirements

• Must have a strong background in Account Reconciliation

• Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) is essential

• Proficiency in Bank Reconciliations

• Prior experience in Bookkeeping is required

• Must have strong Data Entry skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is a must

• Experience with Month End Close procedures is desirable

• Proven experience in managing Payroll

• Proficiency in QuickBooks is highly desirable

• Relevant experience in the Health Pharm/Biotech industry is preferred
