Naval Supply Systems Command LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST in Bath, Maine

Summary You will serve as a Logistics Management Specialist in the Industrial Support Department, Supervisor Shipbuilding (SUPSHIP) Bath Supply Support Division, located in Bath, ME of NAVSUP FLEET LOGISTICS CENTER NORFOLK. Responsibilities You will provide new construction support to Arleigh Burke Guided Missile Destroyers (DDG) and Zumwalt Class DDGs. Identify and coordinate methods to analyze the Contractors’ Configuration Management Process, the Provisioning Process, Coordinated Shipboard Allowance List (COSAL) maintenance and life cycle management. You will prepare and integrate ILS requirements for all ILS elements, including Supply Support, Support and Test Equipment, Planned Maintenance, and Technical Logistics Data, into a plan of action and milestones (ILS Plan) for new construction ships. You will prepare and make oral and written presentations concerning any or all ILS assignments to acquisition, project, logistics and higher-level officials. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:1)Analyzing integrated logistics support (ILS) planning to ensure the efficiency and effectiveness of logistics program operations; 2)Identifying the specific requirements for government furnished material and government property control on board ships and correlating those requirements with the program plans to ensure that the needed support is provided; 3)Performing ILS on shipboard equipment in the outfitting/fitting-out of new construction/conversion and overhaul of ship phase in order to allow for effective delivery or required materials; and 4)Leading the completion of ILS tasks to ensure priorities and deadlines are set and met in accordance with program needs.
