GENERAL FUNCTIONS:
Genesee Community College is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Part-Time Athletic Trainer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about promoting health and wellness and possess strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with athletes and staff.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide injury prevention education and training to athletes and clients.
Conduct assessments and develop individualized exercise programs.
Administer first aid and emergency care as needed during athletic events.
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for athletes.
Maintain accurate records of injuries, treatments, and progress.
Job Requirements:
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education
Bachelor's Degree in Athletic Training or related field required. Master's Degree in Athletic Training or related field is preferred.
Required Certifications
Current and valid certification by the National Athletic Trainers' Association Board of Certification (NATABOC)
Current and valid CPR/AED certification
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Previous experience working as an athletic trainer is preferred. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends are required. Additional Information:
HOURS AND CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:
This is a part-time position at 19.5 hours per week. Incumbent must have the ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
