Job Description: Security Operations Center (SOC) Operator

Position: SOC Operator

Location: Basking Ridge, NJ

Schedule: Full-Time, Thursday to Sunday, 10:00 PM - 6:00 AM (Overnight)

About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented SOC Operator to join our Security Operations Center team in Basking Ridge, NJ. This overnight position plays a critical role in maintaining the safety and security of our facilities by monitoring security systems, responding to incidents, and ensuring smooth operations during nighttime hours.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor Security Systems: Oversee surveillance cameras, alarms, and other monitoring tools to identify and respond to potential security concerns.

  • Incident Management: Respond to alarms or alerts in real-time, assess situations, and escalate issues according to established protocols.

  • Access Control Oversight: Manage and monitor access control systems to ensure that only authorized personnel enter secure areas.

  • Communication and Coordination: Maintain effective communication with on-site security personnel, management, and emergency responders as needed.

  • Report Documentation: Prepare accurate and detailed reports of incidents, activities, and observations during each shift.

  • System Maintenance: Ensure the functionality of all SOC equipment and report any technical issues for resolution.

  • Emergency Support: Assist in coordinating responses to emergencies such as security breaches, medical incidents, or evacuations.

Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in security or a SOC environment is preferred but not required; training will be provided.

  • Strong computer skills and familiarity with surveillance and access control systems.

  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to stay focused during overnight shifts.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently and respond calmly under pressure.

  • Must pass a background check and meet any applicable licensing requirements.
