Primary Responsibilities:

  • Data Management and Analysis: Oversee the collection, storage, and interpretation of data to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights that support business objectives

  • Reporting and Visualization: Develop comprehensive reports and dashboards using advanced visualization tools to communicate complex data findings to non-technical stakeholders and facilitate data-driven decision-making

  • Collaborative Projects: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, finance, and operations, to define analytic requirements and deliver comprehensive data solutions

  • Data Integrity and Quality Assurance: Implement processes and systems to monitor data quality, ensuring the accuracy and consistency of data used for analysis

  • Predictive Analytics and Modelling: Utilize statistical models and machine learning techniques to forecast outcomes and provide recommendations on strategic business initiatives

  • Mentoring and Leadership: Mentor junior data analysts on best practices in data analysis, coding standards, and professional development

  • Process Improvement: Continuously identify inefficiencies and opportunities for automation within data processes and systems, proposing and implementing enhancements

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field Or 7+ number of years equivalent experience

  • 5+ years of experience in a data analysis or analytical role, with proven ability to manage large datasets and complex analyses

  • Advanced Proficiency in data analysis tools and programming languages such as SQL, Python and Jupyter Notebooks

  • Advanced skills in Power BI or other similar data visualization tools

  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret extensive data and turn it into actionable insights.

  • Demonstrated communication and interpersonal skills, capable of presenting complex data to non-technical audiences clearly and engagingly

  • Demonstrated experience in leading projects or teams, with a track record of successful project delivery and team development

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree

  • Knowledge of Healthcare regulation standards/healthcare industry experience

  • Knowledge of Agile methodologies

California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Rhode Island, Washington, Washington, D.C. Residents Only: The salary range for this role is $88,000 to $173,200 annually. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
