Job Description

This resource will act as a liaison with business partners to ensure that procurement policies and methodologies are understood and utilized and serve as the lead relationship manager to deliver strategic sourcing insights and best practices to the business partners. Develop and execute risk management strategies designed to protect DSI and DS Group and assure continued supply of goods and services. Measure value delivered to the business by utilizing an approved global Savings Calculation Methodology & Savings Tracking System / Tool as well as tracking non quantitative value delivered to the business. Proactively identify new areas of opportunity to drive additional sourcing value as well as identify, evaluate and recommend best in class processes and tools. Work closely with Procurement Operations to integrate the Small Business Administration plan and continuous improvement into the sourcing activities. Lead all strategic sourcing efforts from vendor assessment, RFP, negotiation, award and contracting with senior business stakeholders for DS products and alliances. Develop comprehensive category management strategies which involves in-depth spend analysis, identifying opportunities, key insights and marketplace intelligence/trends to help inform Business decisions. Partner with senior business stakeholders across functions to understand business objectives and create annual plans to align objectives with sourcing strategies and solutions to achieve optimal results. Leads supplier relationship management to ensure supplier performance meets expected services levels and drives and enables innovation for potential Brand application, and continuous improvement.

Skills and Requirements

1. Strategic and Online Sourcing - across a variety of categories not just IT - would rather have a generalist - smart source, Ariba, global eprocurement, zycus, etc.

2. Supplier Relationship management (SRM) - scorecard reviews, understanding of industry trends, market analysis, understanding of vendor tiers and frequent communication with all suppliers

3. Category Management - creating and managing categories and subcategories, spend analysis, managing communications with key stakeholders for all categories

4. Contract management - work order analysis, understanding of required pieces of contracts and overview pharma exp null
