Teradyne Engineering Manager in Basak, Lapu-Lapu City, Philippines

Organization & Role

The Teradyne Engineering team is looking for a highly-motivated, energetic, technically driven Engineering Manager to lead teams in the development of products within the Semiconductor Test division. Development occurs in a dynamic and challenging multi-site development environment.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the repair service engineering team to ensure timely and effective repair of electronic products.

  • Develop and implement repair processes and procedures to improve efficiency and quality.

  • Lead in conducting root cause analysis for quality issues and collaborate with other functional teams to address recurring issues and improve product quality.

  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements in all repair activities.

  • Manage the development of personnel and departmental budget.

  • Monitor and analyze repair data to identify trends and implement corrective actions.

  • Maintain strong relationships with internal and external customers, providing technical support and addressing any service-related concerns.

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives and launch innovative projects

  • Stay updated with the latest technologies and repair techniques in the electronics industry.

Basic Qualifications, Education & Skills Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the electronics industry, with at least 3-5 years in a managerial or leadership role.

  • Proven track record of managing engineering teams and projects from concept to production.

  • Strong understanding of electronic circuits, embedded systems, and hardware development.

  • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team.

  • Strong project management skills, including planning, scheduling, and resource allocation.

  • Experience in performance management, mentoring, and professional development of team members.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on innovation and continuous improvement.

  • Ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues and implement effective solutions.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Experience working in cross-functional teams and collaborating with other departments.
