Actalent Assistant Project Manager in Bartow, Florida

Job Description:

The assistant project manager will provide support for projects throughout their lifecycle. Their responsibility will increase, as their experience and knowledge increase. Components of a project that the APM could support include managing schedules, internal and external stakeholder coordination, resource allocation, change control, cost control, invoicing preparation, and project closure and assessment. Major roles and responsibilities include supervising tasks, communicating effectively with stakeholders, and ensuring that every aspect of the project is completed on time. Using the project plan, they must be able to foresee potential blockers and find proper solutions to mitigate or eliminate problems so that they don’t impede a project’s success.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in project coordination or project management.

  • Prefer someone working toward or interested in obtaining the Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) and PMP.

  • Experience in one or more of the following is preferred: environmental compliance, environmental emergency response, environmental assessment, environmental remediation, and industrial service.

  • Experience using project management and project accounting software.

  • Experience managing internal stakeholders in a matrix model organization.

  • A bachelor’s degree in a technical field, sciences, or other relevant field is a plus.

  • Certifications in a technical field are a plus.
