Jennie-O Turkey Store Production Lead Person Line 8, Barron, WI in Barron, Wisconsin
Responsibilities:
Assist new employees
Continue work hardening and all other training necessary to prepare the trainee for positions
Assist supervisor in following and documenting a training program
Learn to operate all machines and scales in the department
Provide new employees with exemplary work behavior including attendance, safety, and personal hygiene
Administer directions for the proper care and use of PPE'S
Communicate to the supervisor as to the progress of the employees
Perform any additional tasks or responsibilities as required
Help with coverage in the absence of the supervisor
Assist supervisor in daily operations, floor coverage, running through breaks, and running equipment as needed
*Ability to work with pork products**
Minimum Qualifications:
Good organizational skills
Ability to learn and do all jobs in the department
Good verbal and written communication skills/Ability to speak and write English
Complete knowledge of machine safety procedures and operations
Good work history
Ability to work with minimum supervision
Ability to obtain forklift, rider jack, PV3R, and hand jack license
Basic math skills
No performance work actions in the last 6 months
No attendance work actions in the last 6 months
PHYSICAL: No restrictions lifting 50 pounds
No restrictions pushing 500 pound v-mags
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience on a department safety committee
Six months experience in the department or equivalent training
Basic computer skills
Excellent problem solving skills and public speaking ability
